The Panini Set consists of 90 puzzle picture cards all of which break down into 10 panels of nine cards. As with other Panini products I have collected in the past, the quality control is subpar (though muuuuch better than the Panini Pog set) and to this day I am unable to find a separate undamaged 'mint' box (though I did find two when cracking a case).
This set features wonderful and unique pictures on both the front and reverse of the card which is highly unusual. Another aspect that sets these apart is how bright and beautiful the cards are - these bright colors are a trait of many European countries and is something I have always admired.
I bought my first box of these in 1998 at the San Diego Comic Con. Spanning my entire card collection this set is one of my favorites not only because of its great colors, but also because of the unique art on each and the fact that there is beautiful artwork on both sides and void of text which is pleasantly irregular when it comes to Trading Cards.
